File Names
Your label design may be comprised of a number of files. To reduce
the possibility of losing one of the files needed to produce your labels
we ask that you compress all of the necessary
files into a single archive. Compressing your artwork will also
reduce the time necessary to upload the file. Complete instruction
on compressing your files into a single archive can be found on the file
compression page.
The Format
Begin the file (or Folder) name with the two character initials of
either you or your company. For example a file from "Acme Widget"
would begin with the letters "aw".
Online Orders
If you order your labels online you will be given an order number at
the end of the transaction. Add your order number to the end of
your initials.
If Acme Widget's order number was 1234 they would name their file "aw1234".
Fax Orders
If you place a fax order add the letter F after your
two letter initials and then enter the date in the format YYMMDD.
Y = Year
M = Month
D = Day
If Acme Widget faxed an order on January 3rd, 2000
They would name the file containing their label design "awf000103".
Multiple Label Orders
If you are ordering more than one style of label affix a letter at
the end of the file name to differentiate the different label designs.
For example, if "Acme Widget" ordered two different labels
online and was given order number 1234, the artwork for the first label
would be put in a file named "aw1234a".
The artwork for the second label would be put in a file named "aw1234b".
Valid File Names
You can name a file using any of the of the following: period, alphabetic
characters, underscore, and numbers. To ensure that we are able
to locate and open your file please do not start a file name with a period.
Also, do not put spaces, slashes, question marks, or asterisks in file
names.
